Founded in 1995, BYD has been successful in the electronics and automotive industries - including battery-powered vehicles, batteries for domestic and commercial energy storage and mobile phone batteries. The company was initially a tiny startup with only 20 employees in China. Now, the company is worldwide with over 220,000 employees.

BYD is an abbreviation for "Build Your Dreams". Based in Shenzhen, China, the company has recently claimed the crown of being the 'Largest Electric Vehicle Company'. The company is also now striving towards a 'world of zero-emissions' through their commitment and development of electric automobiles, solar power and energy storage.

BYD is embarking on the launch of the next generation of premium line battery. Due in Q1 of 2020, the new "Battery Box Premium".

Hybrid Energy Storage Systems
BYD 3.5kW LV Lithium Battery Box

A compatible partner with the Solis RAI and the Solis RHI hybrid inverters (among others), BYD Battery-Box LV is a 48V battery with a flexible and modular design with no cables inside. One Battey-Box LV contains up to 4 battery modules B-Plus L 3.5 in parallel connection and achieves capacities between 3.5 and 14.0 kWh (usable). By connecting up to 3 Battery-Box LV in parallel, the capacity can be chosen individually in 3.5 kWh steps from 3.5 kWh to a maximum of 42.0 kWh.
